Is there anyone who shouldn't take Preventa Migraine?

If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, nursing a baby, allergic to butterbur, or have liver disease, you should not use Preventa Migraine.Preventa Migraine may interfere with Doxorubicin, a medication used for the treatment of certain cancers, so please consult with your doctor prior to taking Preventa Migraine to see if it is right for you. If you are taking Tetracycline, an antibiotic, you should take Preventa Migraine at a different time during the day from when you take the Tetracycline because Vitamin B (an ingredient in Preventa Migraine) could decrease effectiveness when taken together.

What are the reported side effects of taking Preventa Migraine?

The most common side effect of Preventa Migraine is bright yellow urine, this is due to the body processing Riboflavin and is harmless. In a small number of instances, minor nausea, diarrhea, and stomachache have been reported.

I have a hard time swallowing capsules, is it safe to pour the contents into applesauce and consume?

Yes, it is perfectly safe to ingest the contents of Preventa Migraine without the capsule in food or drink.

Is Preventa Migraine safe for children?

Currently we do not recommend using Preventa Migraine on children.

Is All Butterbur Safe?

Not all Butterbur remedies are the same and not all of them are safe. The Butterbur plant in its un-purified powder form contains natural pyrrolizidin alkaloids (PAs) which may cause liver damage or liver cancer. Preventa Migraine is PA free, we use Butterbur Root with the PA's removed from the extract via non-chemical ion exchange, which removes nothing from the extract except the PAs and 2 to 3% of its minerals, ensuring the highest quality product with less than 1 ppm of PAs. Preventa Migraine is also manufactured in our GMP certified facility located in the United States.

Is high dose Riboflavin safe?

Riboflavin is generally considered safe, even at high doses. Riboflavin is water soluble meaning that the body does not store it and expels it via urine, often causing a bright yellow color.

Should I discontinue use prior to surgery?

Yes, since one of the ingredients is a blood thinner you should discontinue use of Preventa Migraine at least one week prior to surgery.

Should I be concerned about allergic reactions?

Preventa Migraine contains zero common allergens such as trans fat, peanuts, eggs, milk, wheat, gluten, tree nuts, fish, or shellfish. Preventa Migraine does contain Butterbur and Feverfew and should not be used by people with an allergy to Butterbur or Feverfew. If you know your stomach is easily upset, make sure to take Preventa Migraine with food. If when taking Preventa Migraine you experience persistent upper right abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or jaundice, you may be experiencing an allergic reaction to Butterbur. Stop taking Preventa Migraine and immediately consult a physician.

Can I cancel "Subscribe & Save" at any time?

Yes, you can manage your "Subscribe & Save" account by signing in at he top right, and click on manage subscription. From there you can cancel at any time and you will not be charged for subsequent months.

Shipping expectations

We offer free Standardized shipping within the USA on all orders. We use Amazon Fulfillment and it generally takes 3-5 business days for the package to be received at your home. We also offer Expedited shipping for an additional $5.00 for delivery within 2-3 business days, and Priority shipping for $10.00 for 1 business day delivery. If your package has not been received within 5 business days e-mail us at info@familytreeremedies.com and we will do an investigation into the missing item. If the package was lost or damaged in the mail, e-mail us and we will generally just send a new package.

Refunds

If after 3 months you are NOT satisfied e-mail us at info@familytreeremedies.com explaining the situation. Provide your name and purchase date/information and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-7 business days. If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.
